I am still trying to find parents and descendants of Robert AMBROSE and Wife Sarah/Sally JONES. They were in Loudoun from Fairfax Co. before 1850. A daughter, Laura Ambrose, married James EASTON in Loudoun in 1848. In 1850 Loudoun Co. Census, Catherine BUTLER is in the household. In 1860 Loudoun Co. Census, members of the household were Emily, Darius St. John Ambrose, Marcus T. Ambrose, (died in Civil War) and William DIXON, age 70. How does he connect to Ambrose? In 1870 Loudoun Census, Robert is Living with daughter Emily AMBROSE . Sarah Jones Ambrose died Loudoun Co. 13 Aug. 1866. Any help will be much appreciated. Wishing all the happiest of New Years.
