I am hoping that someone on the list will be able to help me with a question about documents. I can verify that a Loudoun Co. VA resident was a "Revolutionary War Pensioner" in the year 1840 when he died at age 80. The application that he filled out offers no information about his family but I was wondering if it was possible that the wife that survived him would continue to receive payments and if so where such documents might be found. I did check the LVA online pension information and did not find him listed although I did find him in the "1840 Census of Pensioners" at http://www.usgennet.org/usa/topic/colonial/census/1840/index.html (in case anyone else is looking for such information). Any help or direction that you have to offer would be gratefully accepted, Susan McIntyre
