    3. The name is unusual so I checked marriage bonds for Loudoun and found Moses as securing a marriage bond for Richard Riley and Elizabeth McCartor 9 Nov 1809. The spelling is a bit different but maybe a clue as to where to look. Linda

    1. [VALOUDOU-L] Cross, Feaster
    2. My Loudoun lines include: John Cross (b. abt. 1814, Loudoun Co.-d. 1890, Prince Wm. Co.), son of William Cross (d. 1828), and ?. John's siblings were Harrison, Nancy, Harriett, Joseph, and James. John married Elizabeth Burgess or Bussey (would like to know which) Sept. 3, 1838, Loudoun, then soon moved to Prince William Co. I've been told that Henry Lowe and Daniel Ackers testified to ages or were bondsmen at John and Elizabeth's marriage. Other secondary information has Henry Lowe as father of Elizabeth Lowe who married James Cross. Would like to know more about the Lowe connection. One of John and Elizabeth's sons, Barzillia Ringgold Cross (b. 1849-d.1945, Pr.Wm.Co.) married Mary Frances (Fanny) Feaster (b. 1858,Loudoun-d. 1956, PWC) Feb. 3, 1876, in Leesburg, in presence of William Clemens and Laura Anderson. I believe Fanny's parents were George and Laura Feaster of Leesburg. From census information, George and Laura's other children were Laura Virginia, William, John, Katie, Thomas, Charlie P., James, and Bentley. Would appreciate any other information about the Feaster or Cross families. Bonnie in sunny OKC

    1. [VALOUDOU-L] McARTOR and related
    2. Robert C. McArtor
    3. My McARTOR family appears in Loudoun County probably just before 1800 and lived in and around Hillsboro(ugh). They probably entered the county from Pennsylvania, where the oldest son, MOSES TAYLOR, was said to have been born in 1780. The father, JONATHAN, whose wife we only know as MARY ??, sired four other sons--MAHLON, WILLIAM, JAMES, and JONATHAN, JR. We have a wonderful researcher turning over rocks in Loudoun now, but she (and we) would appreciate any clues. Thank you. Bob McArtor (Alexandria)
