    2. Do you have any notes regarding the murder of Emma. I was wondering which Senator or Congressman was involved. I was told by my Aunt that Emma was caring for his children as a nanny in Wash. D.C. They later became engaged and for some reason she wished to break the engagement. At which time, he murdered her. Does anyone know of this case circa 1920s? 3. Dont know if you are aware of it, but when you search the archives you are searching articles submitted by family members, not paid classified obituaries. There is a difference. You cannot search online for classified ads. If you know that there was a classified ad, you can write or call the Post and ask how much it will cost you to get a copy of that paper or the ad itself. And if you get a hit online in the archives, it will be the first article on the page that the article appears on, not the particular article you want. Then you have to set up an account and pay up front befrore they will allow you access to the page. Hope this helps you understand what you are looking for and what you might get. 3. Charlie, I am interested in pursuing your Hague connection, since Francis Hague who married Jane Yeardley was a co-founder of Waterford in the 1740s. The house is not only still standing but was added on to (in the 1780s!) and is currently beautifully restored. Francis had a son named Francis Jr. born 1731, but I have no further forward than that. Obviously yours is much younger and may be a son of another of Francis' Sr. 14-some children. Can you link the two? 3. Amazing what one little posting can do! I now have so much more on my NICHOLS family than I could have imagines. Lots of new leads to work on. I now go back something like 8 generations in this family from myself. Thanks to all who helped. Valerie
