Tootsie, Hi! I have a Samuel SHOEMAKER in my Northern Neck book for Frederick County on page 112 under a John NEAVILL. Please let me know if you want this information. That is all I was able to find. Susan:) Susan, I had Shoemaker's in Frederick Co so please send the information and you are a walking talking angel. Thanks so much Tootsie
Susan, What a worthy person you are. I'm sure you will be awarded for your efforts. I would appreciate anything you might be able to find on my grandmother Sarah Fox who was bo.ca 1760 and married William Wilkinson in 1791 according to his Rev. pension record. William is stated to have been several years younger than Sarah and was an X Quaker. It is said they married in VA. They resided in Loudoun VA after marriage and are buried in North Fork. I know nothing more of Sarah and have wondered if possibly she had been married prior to William due to her age and maybe I should be looking for a Sarah ? in the same place. Thanks for your time and efforts. Barbara
Susan, You are an angel for doing all these look-ups. I would like for you to check Loudoun Co. for a Thomas COLE.Birth record (circa 1814) and a marriage record for him and Elizabeth Ann (or Ann Eliz.) COLE or POSTEN/POSTON. I believe their first child was also born in Loudoun Co.VA. His name was William Eli COLE b.circa 1850. Thanks a million for your time. Barb
Dear SUZYQ, I believe that you suggested that the Hains family were popular in Frederick Co., VA and that the Hains names from there might be of help to me later on in my research to find the following Hains family. As I wrote earlier, I've had no "luck" locating the parents of William Henry Hains born in Loudoun Co., VA 01 Jan 1825. This info is from his death record in Logan, Hocking Co., OH 27 Dec 1880 where he lived most of his life according to pension records that include affidavits by two childhood friends. Additionally, I grew up hearing from my grandmother that she came from an old Virginia family, by the names of Hains, of course. I've been unable to figure out his parents from only this info. That's my story! So, if you have sources that might give me info about Hains folk possibly tied to William Henry Hains, that is my question. I do thank you for your effort to help me!! Sincerely, Helen B.

Marty, We found a family marriage record in "District of Columbia Marriage Licenses Register 2 1858-1870", compiled by W.Pippenger. Trinity Methodist Church, Washington, DC was the church where the marriage was performed in 1857. I found a Trinity Methodist Church in Alexandria but this was after the period when Alexandria was part of DC. I also find Trinity Church (Historical) listed in DC but no location. Do you have any information on where this church might be located? Thanks. Virginia Olander
Hello Ralph thanks for the info. Have you traced Amanda's father John Peter Frye back to his father Peter Frye. And do you know who Peter Frye's father was. I was told it was Nicholas Frye who married Margaret Ansell. I have the book Early Church Records of Loudoun County Virginia 1745 to 1800 and it shows a Peter Frye born to Nicholas and Margaret Frye 9 Oct 1798. I was wondering if this is the same Peter Frye father of John Peter Frye. Any help you can give me on this would be great. I appreciate the info you sent me. THANKS, Marilyn
