Hello All: I have just finished adding some new pages and updating others at the "Hills and Hollers" website. Feel free to peruse the site. New links, photos, new information, etc. I hope someone finds the info useful. Still looking for more information to add! Anxious to get some more information!!!!!! I believe I have posted all information that was in the "needs to be processed" folders I had. The only exception is a series of images concerning the L&N Railroad's Cumberland Division. I am still researching the copyright issue. There is no publisher or author information in the original. The article was written by a L&N employee...any ideas as to the legality to publish on the website? If you have sent info and it is not posted, please contact me! Sincerely, Wayne Duncan Hills and Hollers Webmaster http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~duncanrw List Admin for: SWVA-NETN-SEKY-CHAT-L BIBLE-RECORDS-L MIGRATION-PATTERNS-L STATE-HISTORICAL-MARKERS-L
William Spurlock who lived on what is the modern Lee County/Hancock County line, applied for a Rev War pension in 1835 Hawkins County TN. His witnesses were William Nicholas and Christian Pearson. Does anyone know if there was any time of family relationship between these three men or if they were just friends and/or neighbors? I know that some members of the three families traveled to Wayne County, Kentucky together but apparently not William. Did he die in Lee County? Hawkins County? Knox/Harlan County, KY? Thanks!
