Her father was Thurman Seabolt (son of John & Nancy {Scott} Seabolt). Her mother was Mossie Phipps (daughter of Will & Mattie {Travis} Phipps). Edith was born Daisy Edith Ann Seabolt on September 28, 1926 in Rose Hill, Lee Co., Virginia. Her parents had a rocky relationship. By the age of three, Edith was given away to be raised by an unrelated family, Grover Cleveland "G.C." Gilbert & his wife Jane. Edith passed away on September 20, 2007 in Brookville, Franklin Co., Indiana, where she lived with her widowed daughter, Frieda. Betty
