It is a partial transcription, which is to say that while it does include all names in the list, I have not transcribed the property amounts, taxes owed and so forth. Hello to all, First I want to say Thanks a lot Joe for posting the Lee County 1835 tax listing. I see several very interesting folks here and wonder if anyone would care to tell me if you are familiar with an area called Trading Creek in the Lee County area. I think that is the location where some of my ancestors lived and have been stuck for quiet some time now. Another thing is are you aware of a listing that would indicate the locations of the property for which they were taxed? I would be very interested in knowing if this tax collector went door to door and listed accordingly. Do the original documents give any of this information?
