Judy, can you check Rosehill cemeteries for Rhoda Jane Wilder? I'm not only looking for her, I'm looking for any husband or kids buried in the vicinity. Rhoda was married to Benjamin Howard and had two children, Reason and James. Ben came from a wealthy family and when he decided he wanted to be married to someone else, he accused Rhoda of adultery, claimed the boys weren't his and filed for divorce. Literally, every court official involved was a close relative of Ben's, including the attorney assigned to Rhoda. (She was not even there!) Ben's own testimony proved that the boys were his and his marriage to Nancy Daniel within six months suggested who had been cheating on whom. Rhoda moved in with her parents and the boys reverted to using the Wilder surname instead of the Howard surname. Rhoda later married a D. M. Wilder and had Martha and William. I'm trying to find out what the D. M. stood for and what Wilders he descended from. Rene' I am only one, but I am still one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something. And because I cannot do everything I will not refuse to do the something that I can do. - Helen Keller "Patriotism is supporting your country all the time, and your government when it deserves it." -Mark Twain "Tikkun Olam (to heal and repair the world) You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to abandon it" Rabbi Tarfun Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don’t matter at all, because once you are Real you can’t be ugly, except to people who don’t understand. - Margery Williams, "The Velveteen Rabbit" In a message dated 8/4/2008 11:07:32 A.M.
