Hi Ariel,    I also have a brickwall, Lewis/Louis  Thompson b. abt 1813 in VA, was on the 1835 tax list in Lee Co. VA married Sarah Gilbert b. abt 1817 daughter of Rev, James Gilbert and Sarah Marshall daughter Of Thomas Marshall and Rossanah Buster? I have also read that William Gilbert married Elizabeth Thompson same area! I keep running across conflicting info on these families. Would love to share info with ya. My families ended up in Hancock Co. TN which was Claiborne Co.TN before 1844. Maybe we could work out some of these puzzles especialy the Thompson's. In the meanwhile I will start working on the Marshall's again! Also there are some researchers who made post in various forums and such who claimed that Elizabeth Thompson was a sister or cousin of Louis/Lewis Thompson so maybe your Sarah fits into this relation somehow?
