Hi Jeff, I see that you are a member of the Kentucky Historical Society,,I am trying to find'any'information on the following in Ky"thing is I don't know where in Ky",, My GGgrandfather Napoleon P.Conley bn abt 1828-29 and his sister Jane Conley bn between 1830-32 also in Ky,,all I know about thier mother is that her name "I am told"she was going by when she married John Walling of Scott Co.Va was Margaret"Peggy"Conley bn abt 1806,,I'm assuming maybe Napoleon and Jane's father died not long after Jane was born somewhere between 1830-1835,,the reason I say 1835 is because by 1836 Margaret was already married to John Walling son of Joseph Walling and Frances'Fanny'Tyree because they had thier 1st child 'together" in 1836 somewhere in Tenn her name was Rebecca,,by 1850 they were all back in Scott Co.Va,, My problem is that since they were not in Kentucky very long I cannot find out who thier father was ,nor thier mother's maiden name,or where they were born in Ky,,they traveled alot between Ky,Va and Tenn,, In 1825 John Walling's mother married Napoleon Conley's wife Sarah Bishop's Uncle ,William Bishop and by 1853 they divorced and Fanny went back using the Walling name and moved to Letcher county Ky to live with her daughter Hannah Bowen'maiden name Walling"wife of Perrin Tyree Bowen,, I am trying to find 'anything"that could tell me Margaret's maiden name ,or where in Ky Napoleon and Jane were born or thier father's name,,,any help would be greatly appreciated,I have been trying to possibly find a Marriage bond or something for John Walling and Margaret'Peggy"Conley,,in hopes maybe it would have a maiden name on it,,I don't know if they were married in Va or Tenn,,but am checking in Russell,Wise,Lee and Scott Counties in Va for one,, Any help would be greatly appreciated.
