Does anyone have the names of all those buried in theRobinette cemetery? I probably have relatives there and don't know it. I do not have access to the Lee County Cemetery Books. Thank you Linda Anderson-Quinonez [email protected] wrote: Sheryl is correct about my late cousin, Curtis Lawson, cleaning the Robinette Cemetery. I personally hired him to do so because my Great-grandmother Eliza B. "Lyde" Chafin Ward, her son Robert Ward, & her mother Jerusha July Edens Chafin are buried there. Curt took great pride in keeping that cemetery clean for me. What is very sad is that the relatives of others buried in the cemetery took absolutely no interest in cleaning that cemetery or contributing to paying for the cleaning of that cemetery during the past 10 - 20 years. My grandmother, Pearl Ward Castle, cleaned the cemetery up until she died in 1969. It would be wonderful if some of you who have relatives in this cemetery would contribute to having a decent path built down to the now-unpassable county road that runs from the state road by this cemetery and to paying to have the cemetery cleaned at least twice a year. From California I simply cannot do it all by myself any longer. Others must contribute. It would also be beneficially to have some sort of fencing placed around the cemetery to keep the off-road vehicles from further damaging the gravestones.
