    2. My thanks for the many responses I got to my request re the Census of 1850 I got so many I began to worry about the economy of the nation . Who is working these days? I am "playng" by using the net to do genealogy but so are many of the rest of you. Jim

    3. Oh, Jim! Work is just something you put in time at so that you can get a paycheck & spend it all on county records and family histories! As forr the economy, if they started taxing genealogy sites on the net, we could probably give up property taxes altogether <G> Retirement? That's for field trips to cemeteries & courthouses!
