    2. This Lee county application for a Rev. War pension for William Ely is on a program called Heritage Quest which is on some libraries who put it on line. It describes his wounds from Buford's Defeat where his shoulder was left open by a sword cut. He enlisted in Bedford county and the family moved to Lee. If you are related and can not get this program contact me and I will help as it is on line. Jim

    3. Judy D. and List, Today I received my >Lee Co VA: A Pictorial History< and I am delighted. Having received it late in the day, I have not yet completed my tour of the past, but I have had a cup of coffee so that I can stay up late and enjoy the pictures. Thank you, Judy, for the idea and for all of your hard work. I appreciate the work of all the others, too. The finished product is well worth the wait, and I imagine there will be a demand for Vol. II. Thanks, SueBuzby

    3. Thanks Sue. I and the rest of the persons who worked on the book appreciate your comments. We had so many pictures we were unable to use we would like to use them and as well as what people would give us sometime later to do another one. We would like for people to think about sharing some pictures with us. Of course, this is down the road. We have already had some to tell us they have pictures and they just didn't get them out. Thanks again. 3. Judy Davidson, Do you by any chance have another book of Virginia and if so please let me know the price? My ancestors came from Virginia to Kentucky and I am very interested in purchasing a book.
