Hi Tom , It is good to see someone working on this Ely famiily. I am yet another of those individuals trying to figure out the Ely family of Lee County Virginia. From "The Early Settlers of Lee County Virginia', I got the information that Catherine Ely married William Harris and from other researchers that this William Harris is a brother to my Sena Harris who is my Harris line. Sena is said to have had two children by an unknown ELY and my William Harris born 1832 Hawkins County Tennessee is one of them. I would appreciate any light anyone can shed on these people. Norma
