Hello All: Some of you may be familiar with my website Hills and Hollers http://www.hillsandhollers.net It was originally started as a cooperative project between myself and the Wise County VA Genealogical Society. As time passed, the information from the Wise County Genealogical Society slowed to a trickle so I expanded the site to cover most any county in the Southwestern VA area. The site still concentrates on Lee, Scott, Wise, Russell, and Buchanan counties. There are also some records and family genealogical files posted there as well. I recently completed helping a dear friend complete a nearly 600 page manuscript of her family lines. It is posted on the site. In the latest threads of postings here, there seems to be a common theme that online information about Lee County is difficult to find. You are correct. I hope that I can increase the amount of information about Lee County and the families that settled there and may even still be living in the area. So....what does all this mean? I will offer to post anyone's historical or genealogical information on Hills and Hollers at no cost. If you are using Family Tree Maker, I can privatize your file (anyone not having a death date will show no personal information) You can remove the information anytime you desire.
