Sheila, Thanks for giving me Almelda's last name. I found them on the 1860 Wise County Census and it said her name was Almelda H. Blanton, age 30. Thank you for giving me his parents names also. The birth date I have for John Blanton of abt. 04/1832 was obtained from the Wise County GenWeb site on the record of his death 08/18/1867. As for children of John and Almelda Blanton, I don't have a Catherine or William. The children I have I got from the 1860 Wise County Census and from pages of a book photocopied for me on the Wells family of Wise County by Charles Rayburn Wells, so it might not be totally correct. Here are the children I have for John and Almelda Blanton: Elizabeth, b.abt 1849 Mary A., b. abt 1851 George, b.abt 1853 Isaac J., b.abt 1854 Malissa, b.abt 1855 Jessee, b.abt 1857 Sarah, b.abt 1858 James F., b.abt 1860 John, b.abt 1863 Robert, b.abt 1866 The only ones I have marriages on are: Isaac J.
