Thanks Barbara,,,,, May I use that information in my file on our Wards? A cousin wrote a Ward Family History, with my errors, I'm going through it all trying to search and correct for my sister and myself. Sis and I plan to make a trip this fall to Lee Co., VA to research. My sister wrote to get our grandmother's birth record, they sent many of her siblings births but found nothing on her. As per records, some years (1995) ago I was in Grainger Co., TN (Rutledge) they had many old records stored in the old school house, without windows or any protection. We were in our RV, always carry a computer and scanner, so I slowly started scanning the records I was looking for. Afterward I spoke with many others the TN State Archives, finally sent people in to collect the records, but many had been taken and destroyed. At least some where saved.
