Dear Lee Country researchers, I am relatively new to genealogical research, only three years now and still on the same ancestor, Peter H. Rowland of Lee County, VA. I have been trying to locate proof of who Peter's father is. The historical narrative points to one Michael T. Rowland who married Elizabeth Hairston. I would very much like to locate the wills of all or any for Michael, Nancy and Peter and not sure where to find those documents. All of Michael's brothers had wills so I am guessing that it is very likely that Michael followed suite. Michael died between 1814-1830 (I think in Lee Co. but have also heard Cumberland Co., KY). Michael's wife died in about the same time from. His son, Peter H. is said to have died in 1878. With these dates in mind, might anyone be able to advise me as to where I should begin my search for these wills ? Lee County ? If so, what department, person, number, etc. ?
