Hi There, REally do hate to tell you there are just a few mistakes in "Early Settlers". Just one of which is the name of Elijah;s 2nd wife-which was Nancy Spencer and not Wells. This is proven by the 1860 Lee Co Va census records for one and 2nd by the deed by heirs of Wm. Spencer of Lee Co Va. Nancy Wells the dau of Wm. and Susan Wells was married to a J. Creech; she then married Wm Brewster in 1856 and they moved to KY along with her 2 Creech sons. Nancy Spencer Creech is found in the 1860 Lee co census with some of her children. Also we at Creech Country do believe that Elijah was definitely married to an Anglin as his first wife and the dau of John and Jemima Anglin but not Sarah. The deed by heirs of John Anglin shows Sarah married to Joseph Spencer Jr. Jemima, her mother married Joseph Sr after the death of John. Marsil in HM ----- Original Message ----- From: "Cleland L.
