The Middletons were in Lee county when the county was being formed and there was a Middleton Station to provide protection for the early settlers. Walter died there, I think in 1794, and his will is witnessed there and is recorded and included slaves. The family later moved into Knox county and Harlan county, Ky. My interest in them is through research into the Marsee/Massee line who were contemporaries of them at Chadwell Station . ---- "Jerry L.
