If she came thru SW VA first, I might be able to help you. VA and NC by themselves are too broad for what I am working on. There are many Rogers families in VA that I know of. NC unless it was part of E TN originally is not in my line of researching either. However, there was a Walling Rogers from Scott/Hawkins that was in Estill for a time, but I don't think that he fits the pattern you are describing.
