I am seeking information on Thomas and Sarah STAPLETON of Lee County. They signed a deed 20th April 1839 to William TILTEMAN(?), Spelling I am not sure of. Where did they go? Is this the STAPLETON in Meigs County, TN? They also received land for $1.00 from Thomas MOUCHON and wife Polly. It was 150 acres. Does this indicate that they are related? The Thomas and Polly were from Hawkins County, TN. Their name might have been MONEYHAN. The deed shows both spelling I would appreciate any information on Thomas and Sarah STAPLETON?
