Robert, We are cousins, as I descend from your John Sturgill's sister, Lydia Sturgill who married Solomon Parsons. Lydia and Solomon lived in Ashe and Allegheny Counties NC. I descend from their son, Alvin Dixon Parsons who married Phoebe Tolliver. AD Parsons served in the Civil War. He refused a pension because he said that he had not killed any Union soldiers and hadn't wanted to! It is nice to make your acquaintance!
