Does anyone know anything about the Blackwater Salt Works? Apparently, the area had been owned by one person originally. In 1819 Elisha Rogers is deed 12 2/3a on Blackwaters salt works. In 1820 I noticed that Jesse G. Rainey owned 24 3/4a on Blackwaters salt works. There must be others who own the other sections. This salt works is in Lee Co. and is not to be confused with Saltville, VA and the saltworks near Marion. Is there any mention in deeds other than these or in books? Thanks. Eleanor
