Mulberry Gap is west of Sneedville, Tenn in Hancock Co. You can get there on Newman Ridge Rd out of Sneedville or from Harrigate go north on State road 63. Not a very big place but does have a very old church and cemetery. It is only a few miles from Lee Co. Va and just a short distance from Claiborne Co. There's been some discussion about Mulberry Gap and Hancock County, TN on this list the past couple of days. Just wanted to let everyone know that I was in Hancock County last fall, and took some photographs of the Mulberry Gap area, including some photos of the old church and cemetery. (The leaves were changing at the time, so it was BEAUTIFUL!) I would be happy to e-mail copies of these photos to anyone interested.
