Need help in proving that John RUSSELL was a resident of Guilford Co NC during the Rev. War. I filed a Supplemental Application with the DAR, 26 Aug 2002. On the 8 Jul 2003 I received a letter from Ms. C. Linko, NSDAR Genealogist stating and I quote " Although listed in the Patriot Index we cannot accept any more applications or supplemental for this man until his residence during the revolution can be proved". I have copies of numerous documents from the NC Archives and copies of land transactions etc. but NO proof of him living there during the years of 1775-1783. Furnishing Sundries (so I was told) does not prove he was living there. Any help, clues or leads would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Jo Johnston
