Thank you for the information. The William "Willie" Pope that I am interested in was marred to Abigail Middleton Pope. Their son, James C. Pope, was the Chief of Police in Harlan County. He was killed in the line of duty in 1922 as was reported in the Harlan County Newspaper. Would appreciate any more information that you might locate.
