I am looking for information on my maternal Great Grandparents, Samuel SMITH/LOWE b: 1854 (family story is that he was born a LOWE and raised a SMITH), Rebecca Elizabeth BARKER/LEGG b: 1856 (my mother said that her maiden name is BARKER, but another family member said that her maiden name was LEGG). I am thinking that Rebecca may have married a LEGG and then married Samuel SMITH. I believe Rebecca is the daughter of Benjamin Wallace BARKER and These two moved to Harlan County, KY about 1880.
