Hi group, I'm hoping that someone may have knowledge about this person or could perhaps point me in a direction where I could find more information?? All that I basically know is that James M. Minter was born 27 June, 1871 at Jonesville, Lee county, Virginia. According to census reports from 1900-1930 his father is said to have been born at Kentucky OR Virginia and his mother's birthplace was Virginia. His death certificate only says that his Mother's maiden name was Morgan. His obituary says nothing about his parents and none of his descendants know who his parents were. I suspect that his middle initial stood for Morgan, but it's just a guess. His son was named Roy Morgan Minter. Any help is much appreciated! Ivan Nichols -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
