Phil, First look at wills. And look at his wife family. In those times the wife would not have been allowed to own the land. If her father had left it to her in his will; Elisha would have become the owner not his wife. Also, check to see if he got thourgh a marriage bond. Some bonds included land instead of money. I have seen a groom getting a couple of chickens and goats for the bond..lol. Hope that help some.
