List Readers, Can anyone one tell me if this is the same Nannie Browning that lived on Sugar Run Road in late 40's & early 50's. She went to the Hubbard Springs Elementary School and then to Flatwoods School. She also had a sister named Mollie who had blond hair. Her obit makes no mention of a sister Mollie but I believe she passed away several years ago. My memory is old and decrepit but I think their fathers name was Mike. Thanx Nan Browning Thomas, age 68, a resident of Miamisburg, OH passed away peacefully on January 8, 2008 at her residence. Nan was born in Harlan County, KY on July 7, 1939 to the late Mike and Mary Jane (Blanton) Browning. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Curtis R. Thomas on December 15, 2007 and her son, Curtis Lee Thomas in 1983. She is survived by a son, Michael (Trudy) Thomas of Xenia, OH; a daughter, Rita (John) Crothers of Miamisburg, OH; a brother, John Browning of VA; a sister, Estelle Bunch of Dayton, OH; 5 grandchildren, Ryan (Jennie) Thomas, Jace Thomas, Sarah Babish, Heather and Rachael Thomas; a great-granddaughter, Jayleigh and by many nieces and nephews. Nan had retired from Kroger after 20 years of service and had also worked at Dorothy Lane Market. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM January 11, 2008 from the GEBHART-SCHMIDT-PARRAMORE FUNERAL HOME, Miamisburg. Pastor Michael Thomas officiating. Burial Highland Memorial Cemetery.
