Thanks for the encouragement everyone,,I need it about now,,I think what was wrong was I have seen my GGreatAunts name and have also been told her name was really Melissa but she went by Louisa,,so on the application I put Melissa"Louisa"and I dont think they looked for the Louisa,"my mistake i suppose",,but surely there 'has"to be a record of it by 1929,I just keep running out of ways to go about finding out 'where"in Ky my GGrandfather Napoleon P Conley was born,,or his mother's maiden name so I can find out who he and his sister Jane's father was,,I cannot even find a marriage record of Margaret Conley to John Walling,, And I agree with the initials,,I just happened upon finding John my GGGrandmothers' I assume 2nd husband"John Walling listed in Ozark county in 1870 as J.Wallin ,,,but here is also a boy living in the household at that time that does not belong to John nor to his second wife,I can't figure out where he fits in ,his name is Cimsey/Kimsey Walling/Wallen/Wallin,,,he was 15 at the time and the youngest child of my GGGrandmother and John Walling's was John B Walling and he was 14 in 1860,,so he can't belong to John and my GGGrandmother or his 2nd wife because he didn't remarry until 1870 ,,guess i'm gonna have to spend more money on another one,,and just pray and keep my fingers crossed, I would love to find John B Walling or his brother Charles death certs,,it may have my GGGrandmothers maiden name on it,,they also had 3 girls together,Rebecca which was born abt 1836 in Tenn"possibly"McMinn, she married a B.A.Gibson/Gipson,,"have seen it spelled both ways,,they were living next door to John and Margaret"her parents"on the 1860 census of Marion County,Ark,,Rapps Barren Twnship but the census taker had John and Margaret's last name as Walden instead of Walling,,then I found them in "Rebecca and Botey?Gibson/Gipson in Ozark Co.Mo the year her father remarried then in 1880 in Jackson County,Ark Bird Twp,,but have not been able to find them or any of thier children after this 1880 census,,nor can I find the other 2 girls Nancy and Elizabeth anywhere after the 1860 census,I'm sure they probably married,so I haven't a clue on how to find them,, I also found Civil War records for thier sons Charles and John Wallin"or whom I believe to be them",,they served in Mo,Union Infantry 48th Company C,,but not sure if this is mine or not,,it showed a John Wallin that died during the Civil war in Feb 12,1865 and buried in a Union Cemetery "I believe"somewhere in Mo I'm open to all the suggestions and help I can get at this point,, Thank you all for helping me and giving suggestions to find my ancestors, Leatha On Thu, 13 Jan 2005 19:03:23 EST [email protected] writes: > Leatha, > I don't know what you put on your application but I'll tell you what > happened > to me one time.
