    2. Leatha, I don't know what you put on your application but I'll tell you what happened to me one time. I wrote to Abingdon, VA courthouse for a lookup on a will. I gave them the full name of the person AND a correct date. They wrote back that nothing was found. I got the chance to make the trip myself and lo and behold, there was his will. The reason they couldn't find it....the will listed his first name only by initials. Now you would have thought that since the date was correct, that someone would have the common sense to figure out that Hiram C. Fleenor was H.C. Fleenor. Maybe they were in a hurry or maybe they are required to go by the exact name you give them, I don't know. It's an understandable mistake and it turned out okay for me anyway. I'm not saying that's what happened in your case but it's worth a shot to try it again. Good luck!!

    3. Leatha, Are you positive she died in MO? My g grandmother lived in Nebr and is buried in Nebr, but died on a visit back to her old home in IL. Same with her husband, only he died in the Old Soldiers home in Quincy, IL, but was brought back to Lebanon, Nebr to be buried. Just a thought...
