I descend from Thomas Ely and Jane Smith through their son Joseph Ely who married Fanny Hix (and Fanny Hix married another of my grandfathers, John Russell, after Joseph Ely died). My line continues with Rebecca Ely who married Peter Reasor and their child was James Greenlee Reasor, born 1854. Several ELYs married into my Myers line and my sister married an Ely. We later discovered they are seventh cousins. Recently on this forum, it was mentioned that Emmett Lawson married Eddy Ely. He was my grandfather's brother and they never had children. SueBee
