    1. [VALEE] Ely family of Rev. War
    2. Does anyone have any info re Thomas Ely killed by a wound at the battle of Hanging Rock in the Revolution or his son George who moved later with his mother to Lee county Va. There has to be a large number of descendents as the census of 1880 has 118 of the total of 218 in Ba. living in Lee county. I would be interested in corresponding with any one who is researching Ely, Bays, Davi/d/son or Snodgrass.

    2. The Bailes History of Lee county has an excellent and long write up on the Ely family and it is posted on the net. You can find it by dong a search for Thomas on the Ely genealogy page. Sorry I can not help as I know little about the family after the Civil War.
