    3. I am researching the family of Christian France Duncan of Lee Co. Va. He was b.28Apr1844 and d.30Sep1918. He was married twice, 1. Mary Ellen Childress 9Mar1890. He is believed to have been a Methodist Minister and a Travrling Physcian. Can anyone provide aditional information for me? Who was his second wife? When were they married and where? Any additional information would be most helpful. Thank you in advance for anything you might be able to pass along. 1. [VALEE] WOLFE-VANHUSS-OWENS
    2. Hi List Seems the list has been very quiet lately. Thought I would wake y'all up...Yoohoo Edgar I got your letter I will respond to it soon. I didn't forget you. I'm still trying to find WHO shot and killed my grgrandpa CHARLES LIDY OWENS Dec 22 1890. There are some records but nothing with WHO did it and WHY. Charles was 29 yrs old. Charles married NANCY ELIZABETH VANHUSS and when he died she was left with 3 sons and a daughter, my grandmother MARY MINERVA (MOLLIE) OWENS. Nancy was pregnant when Charles also known as C.L. Owens. She had a son that she named CHARLES LIDY OWENS and he died I believe in April 1891. Nancy left VA and went to live in TN. She died 1905. Nancy's mother was REBECCA JANE MINTON. After her husband JOHN MICHAEL VANHUSS died 1865 she continued to live in Lee Co. She married DAVID WOLFE. They had a son WRIGHT STICKLEY WOLFE born 1880....I can't find any of them in 1880. Wonder if they are listed in the birth records of Lee Co????Does anyone have the book or a copy? I know that at one time it must have been after David died, Rebecca & Wright Stickley were in Arkansas then in 1900 Wright Stickley was in Texas and lived there till he died in 1960. Rebecca just totaly disappeared. Does anyone have information on MARY ANN OWENS who married a WILL McCLURE. Mary was born 1874. I have a letter from one of her sibblings and it was stated that she had married Will..Would like to find out the date of when they married and where... I'm just so full of questions... WILLIAM OWENS brother of CHARLES LIDY also was shot and killed. I think 1898. Does anyone have that info??? Thanks and hope everyone's summer is good.. 2. Good evening to all, I recently obtained the obituary of a son of my ancestor Henry Williams and it stated Henry Williams and family left Cabarrus County, NC in 1827. It went on to say the family resided in Jonesville, Lee County, Virginia, and that Henry Williams was one of the prominent men of that section of Virginia. I have been unable to find Henry on any of the census of Lee Co, VA but I do have an 1840 and 1850 listing in Claiborne Co, TN that could possibly be the right family. Henry's daughter Mary E. Williams married Andrew Jackson Sanders in 1842 in Claiborne Co, TN. So I am curious if anyone knows of any records of Henry Williams being in Lee Co, VA? I would appreciate any help and any reply!
