    1. [VALEE] Pennington Gap
    2. This is a GREAT day. Thanks bushels to you folks for the Pennington Gap information. My sister, Loretta Hash Drake, lived there few years ago. I THINK there is a Flat Woods in Ky. where I built a TV station (transmitter) for PBS overlooking Pennington Gap. My current intrest is a possible daughter of Edward Pennington who married Thomas Hall, a descendant of "Old" John Hash who settled on the New River in Grayson County Va. Thanks again and have a very nice day Lee Hash Culpeper, Va. **************Get fantasy football with free live scoring. Sign up for FanHouse Fantasy Football today. 1. [VALEE] Va. genealogy information websites!
    2. Hi all, I thought I would mention a coupke of my Virginia genealogy websites I find and transcribe all of the information myself. I have many sites and webpages but I am giving you two of them and they have links to the other sites. Old Virginia Obituaries, 1790-1940: http://virginiaobits.homestead.com/ and Miscellaneous Virginia Genealogy: http://vagenealogy.homestead.com/ there is a search engine on the main pages of both sites so it will be easier to look for your ancestors and hopefully find them or you can just browse the pages. On one of my sites connected to the Miscellaneous Virginia Genealogy site I list Va. deaths from 1897-1912 the msising years when the state did not keep any records of deaths or births. And just the other day I got up to 4,000 deaths on that site! There is a link to this site on the Miscellaneous one. I find this information mostly from do research at the Library of Va. where I go to do searches mostly for other people and when I can for my site and my own Va. families. I hope you find ancestors on my sites! God bless, Beth deliaesther@att.net

    1. [VALEE] Hall/Hash
    2. Needing some help with my Hash research on a daughter of "Old" John Hash. The following is what I have Lee Hash Culpeper, Virginia Mary “Polly” Hash, daughter of "Old John" Hash and Mary Horton, was born in about the year 1752 in Maryland. After the arrival of the John Hash family on Bridle Creek, she married John Hall who was said to have been born in about the year 1751. After their marriage (date unknown) they first settled near the Forks of The New River in what is now Grayson County then moved to Ashe County, North Carolina. Sometime in 1805 they removed to Lee County, Virginia. Their children were: John Hall Jr. born 7/15/1776 married Elizabeth Wiseman; Richard who was listed in the will of Old John Hash 5/22/1784 and was said to have married Anne Osbourn; Thomas Hall married Patsy Pennington 8/1/1833 and remained in Lee County. We find a Sarah Hall who married Thomas Carrell 8/13/1834 in Lee County and a John Hall who married Sarah Wells 12/26/1833 in Lee County. Many years ago I remember reading that Sarah Hall was placed in the care of the Sheriff and her only possession was an old clock. **************Get the scoop on last night's hottest shows and the live music scene in your area - Check out TourTracker.com!
