    1. Re: [VALEE] Lee County, Virginia Cemetery book lookup request
    2. Judy, can you check Rosehill cemeteries for Rhoda Jane Wilder? I'm not only looking for her, I'm looking for any husband or kids buried in the vicinity. Rhoda was married to Benjamin Howard and had two children, Reason and James. Ben came from a wealthy family and when he decided he wanted to be married to someone else, he accused Rhoda of adultery, claimed the boys weren't his and filed for divorce. Literally, every court official involved was a close relative of Ben's, including the attorney assigned to Rhoda. (She was not even there!) Ben's own testimony proved that the boys were his and his marriage to Nancy Daniel within six months suggested who had been cheating on whom. Rhoda moved in with her parents and the boys reverted to using the Wilder surname instead of the Howard surname. Rhoda later married a D. M. Wilder and had Martha and William. I'm trying to find out what the D. M. stood for and what Wilders he descended from. Rene' I am only one, but I am still one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something. And because I cannot do everything I will not refuse to do the something that I can do. - Helen Keller "Patriotism is supporting your country all the time, and your government when it deserves it." -Mark Twain "Tikkun Olam (to heal and repair the world) You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to abandon it" Rabbi Tarfun Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. 3. I'm looking for information on the Spencer Family Cemetery, located on SR-665 in Lee County, near the old Thompson Settlement. What I need is the name of the caretaker, administrator, etc. who maintains the cemetery. I have numerous relatives buried there, including my great-great-grandparents Spencer and my great-great-great-grandmother Spencer. I would like to have a Civil War tombstone placed on one on the graves, but I need a contact name for that cemetery. Thanks, Terri Spencer

    1. [VALEE] Is anyone familar with the physicians in the area?
    2. I have a strange tale to tell you all and maybe someone will know the family to whom it belongs. My great grandfather ran an orchard with a partner of his. The two of them were best friends. The story as my grandmother told it was that the partner and his wife were unable to have children, and well, Papau, was asked to....assist. The result was a fine son who became a doctor. As an adult this man was told of his unusual conception but everyone felt that the partner was the man that raised and loved him. Papau had my uncles take him to see the man before he died and he and one of my uncles could have been twins. I'm not giving my great grandfather's name or the partner's name but if someone gets a DNA done and it doesn't match the rest of the family and you've got a doctor in the line in the early 20th century, give me a yell.
