    1. [VALEE-L] Re: VALEE-D Digest V02 #24
    2. Hi, I,m descended from Rich and Elizabeth b.1730 and that's pushing it back a ways. Not much left on those old bones to pick from,so I just stop with this pair. Going forward in time the next pair is John Parsons b.1755 in Surry Co.,N.C. and Mary Simmons b. N.C.and that's all for her. John appears on the tax rolls in 1810 North Carolina. They were Married in 1780 N.C. You take off with James Parsons, John's brother. Mine goes next to Samuel Parsons and Phoeby Pennington. the next is Joseph Parsons and Margaret Pennington and by now they are jumping over to Jackson Co.,Ky. Their son, Elijah Parsons and Anne Jane Edwards are still in Jackson Co.,Ky. The families are living in clusters on one farm. One doing the farming the rest doing gods work. My Great grandfather the Rev. Joseph Gilpin Parsons Married Elizabeth Ann Edwards,1878 in Lee Co.,Va. and had Roselee Parsons b.1890. This shows that they were still in contact with Lee Co. The next time I go to the Library I'll look up your James Parsons if you want me to. Albert.

    1. [VALEE-L] RICHARD PARSONS
    2. Jack
    3. I am tracing my wife's genealogy (Parsons), and her line runs thusly: Joseph Parsons (b abt 1690) + Sarah Woodson >>Richard Parsons (b. abt 1735) + Elizabeth (Mary) Feathers >>>>James Parsons (Rev.) (b. abt 1760) + Mary >>>>>>Michael Parsons (b. 1785) + Jane Norris Now, I have found records of two different Richard Parsons (1720 & 1735) who married two different Elizabeth Feathers (1725 & 1735). They have similar children, and Richard's father (in both cases) is Joseph (1690). After Joseph, the paths are completely different. I am trying to determine exactly which Richard is "my" Richard, to prevent running down a false path. My link to Richard is through James. I am trying to locate a record that would definitely tie my James to one of those Richards. Any suggestions? Do you know anyone who might have such a record? My line is as follows: Alexander Orr and Margaret Ramsey David Orr and Rhoda Ely James Wesley Orr and Martha "Pattie" Vermillion Benjamin Franklin Orr and Mary Price Rees Price Orr(he went by Price) and Rhodees Lane My g-g-grandfather, James Wesley Orr, was a Judge and Confederate Veteran, among other things. Price Orr was my grandfather. He was born in 1907 in Knoxville, TN. He lived in Jonesville for some time. I know his first wife, Rosita (Peet), and their daughter, Mary Louise, lived with my g-grandparents in the family home in Jonesville until around 1940. I have some pictures of some of these people on my web site (www.heatheramelia.accessgenealogy.com). I do have someone who we do not know who he is and I was hoping that maybe someone would recognize him. He was listed as Gwin on the back of the pictures. Most of these pictures were taken between 1936 and 1940 in Jonesville. I would appreciate any help on who he is or anything else about my family. I would also be happy to hear from any relatives or family friends. Heather Francis Get more from the Web. FREE MSN Explorer download : http://explorer.msn.com

This was the family of James Ingle & wife Sallie. In 1920, they lived on Poor Valley Road. Here is their 1920 census entry: 1920 Census, Poor Valley Road, Rose Hill District, ED 48, Pg. 5B, Dwelling 95, family 96: Jim Ingle, head, rents, 68, cannot read or write, b. VA, father & mother b. 1. [VALEE-L] RE:Who lived "up the Holler"
    2. I used to live for months at a time with the Green family on Stone Creek(next door to Cruisenberry family and very close to the Lee family who lived along the creek. this was about 1949 and 1950`s. Some men lived just up the Holler from us. The only time I saw them was when we would wander up ther picking berries or when they would be out hunting or something. I sort of thought they were relatives but maybe not. Does anyone have any idea who or where I`m talking about? Some of the happiest times of my life were spent playing in the creek there and eating Mrs. Green`s great cooking. Sue in Al.
