Kim, Could you do a lookup for me? I have a set of ggrandparents who seem to have either come off a UFO or lived under a rock. I don't know where the wife, Mattie/Martha Wolf(e) is from or in which county she and Edward E. Litton were married...All I know is that she was born in 1881, supposedly. She died in 1921 and had four sons with Edward. Clarence, my grandfather and the youngest child, was born in Scott County, VA. Scott County has no record (that I can find) of these two. Sheila, I hope you don't mind me jumping into your conversation with Vanetta, but I have a question concerning James Blanton. I have a James F. Blanton b.abt 1860 who has a brother named George b.abt 1854. Their father was John Blanton who was b. abt 04/1832 in Lee County, VA and married an Almelda ?. John died 08/18/1867 in Wise County, VA. I have no other information on John and my question is could my John be a brother to your James and George? Do you know if they had a brother named John who was born in Lee County? Or possibly he is a brother of your James Henry?
