Janet, I also visited that cemetery. Samuel Marion was my G-G-G-G-grandfather. We found another grave marker next to his Rev. War marker. It was a Confederate marker for Pleasant Martion. I don't know which Chrisman founded the bank here (someone bought them out 20 years or so ago; it was Chrisman-Sawyer Bank and I had my account there)--still searching. Never dreamed the bank founders were distant relatives! There are some interesting Civil War stories about the Flannerys/Flanarys in Jackson County.
