Hi Eleanor. Delila Jones who married John Rogers in 1876 could not have been the daughter of Frederick Jones (Jonesville). He died in 1808. What I am looking for is someone who has factual information about Squire Poteet who lived in Lee CO until around 1808 then went to Overton CO TN. I would appreciate any help that anyone has to offer on him. Need marriage, death, descendant information. Does anyone know where I would go to find the mandated ages for buying and selling land in VA in 1815 and 1816. I have two teenagers buying and selling land in this time period in Lee and Scott Cos. How is it legal? Did someone let it slip by on purpose? Thanks. Eleanor
