Those of you who have early Lee Co. ancestors beginning in the 1790's up until ca 1860's should order the microflim for the Lee Co. Land Tax Books. These taxes are paid YEARLY and contain much data MOST of which is fairly accurate. Using these records plus the personal tax records, censuses, deeds, and court minutes I have been able to reconstruct Lee Co. Rogers families and find the destinations of where they went after they left IF they didn't sell their property. There are so many clues and vital information if one will use the records. The only catch is that you are dedicated in reading and researching records. It takes time and patience, but is well worth the time and effort spent. Eleanor
