Thanks for the info, Crystal. I'm hoping to find William and Martha's death certificates to find our their father's name. There's some info that it may be a D. N. Wilder but there's no census during Rhoda Jane's adult life when there's a man in her house. She lived with her father as a divorced woman and then with her adult children as an older woman. I have her divorce from Ben Howard but have found no record of another marriage. On a different subject are any of you who are familiar with Lee Co. aware of an orchard that at the turn of the century was owned by two men, one of whom was William Lewis Wilder. Renee, This might help...Pucketts Creek is Not in KY; it is in Lee Co Virginia. Given it is right on the KY, Harlan CO boarder but a mountain separate them. And KY side it not called Pucketts Creek. The Creek itself runs up into St Charles and back into KY and Wise Co Va. Every holler and crook and chase has different names and might change around a bend...can be confusing. Just an ideal on your searches for Rhody. Thinking that maybe you can find some records in Lee CO too.
