    2. Gloria It is online but for a fee. They are the actual census record not typed. Some libraries have Heritage Quest and you can access it from your home if you have a library card. I have a Cleveland and Columbus card and can access it through either card. Check with your library or the main branch in your county. Some libraries also have ancestry but you have to go to the library to use it. 1. GLACKINS, STEPHENS AND ASSOCIATIONS TO THIS FAMILY
    2. I am formally introducing myself to the list. My name is Jeff Jeppson and I am from Spencer County Kentucky. I am here to let everybody know that I am researching the Glackin family primarily and also any associates to this family. The Stephens are mentioned here because three Stephens boys, Daniel, James and Joseph Stephens married three daughters of William Glackin and Elizabeth Mckindrie, in Madison County Kentucky and the word is that they came from Lee County Virginia. My immediate link is William Glackin that married to Elizabeth Mckindrie. They had a son named Andrew Price Glackin who married Mary Ellen Lancaster. They had a son named William Andrew Glackin that married to Rebecca Yarnall. They had a son named William Edward Glackin, who married to Frances America Allphin. They had a son named John William Glackin who married to Frances or Fannie Lucas. They had a son named Rudolph Glackin, who married Sara Thomas Wood and finally had a daughter, my Mother, Rebecca Glackin Jeppson. She married my father, Carl Jeppson. Thanks for your time. 2. Hi Jeff, I see that you are a member of the Kentucky Historical Society,,I am trying to find'any'information on the following in Ky"thing is I don't know where in Ky",, My GGgrandfather Napoleon P.Conley bn abt 1828-29 and his sister Jane Conley bn between 1830-32 also in Ky,,all I know about thier mother is that her name "I am told"she was going by when she married John Walling of Scott Co.Va was Margaret"Peggy"Conley bn abt 1806,,I'm assuming maybe Napoleon and Jane's father died not long after Jane was born somewhere between 1830-1835,,the reason I say 1835 is because by 1836 Margaret was already married to John Walling son of Joseph Walling and Frances'Fanny'Tyree because they had thier 1st child 'together" in 1836 somewhere in Tenn her name was Rebecca,,by 1850 they were all back in Scott Co.Va,, My problem is that since they were not in Kentucky very long I cannot find out who thier father was ,nor thier mother's maiden name,or where they were born in Ky,,they traveled alot between Ky,Va and Tenn,, In 1825 John Walling's mother married Napoleon Conley's wife Sarah Bishop's Uncle ,William Bishop and by 1853 they divorced and Fanny went back using the Walling name and moved to Letcher county Ky to live with her daughter Hannah Bowen'maiden name Walling"wife of Perrin Tyree Bowen,, I am trying to find 'anything"that could tell me Margaret's maiden name ,or where in Ky Napoleon and Jane were born or thier father's name,,,any help would be greatly appreciated,I have been trying to possibly find a Marriage bond or something for John Walling and Margaret'Peggy"Conley,,in hopes maybe it would have a maiden name on it,,I don't know if they were married in Va or Tenn,,but am checking in Russell,Wise,Lee and Scott Counties in Va for one,, Any help would be greatly appreciated. 3. Orville, I just happened to see your post and took a quick look on Heritage Quest census records. You didn't indicate what years they lived in Harlan Co., KY or Lee Co., VA so I just looked at all years that they have online. I found a William Pope in the 1910 and 1920 Harlan Co., KY census. I did not find a William in any of the Lee Co., VA census. I don't know if the William in Harlan is your or not, but this is what I found: 1910 Pope, William M., Head, 22 yrs. old Lula, Wife 21 yrs. old Marvin Son 1 3/12 yrs. old 1920 Pope, William, Head, 33 yrs. Old, Lula, Wife, 32 yrs. old Marvin, Son, 11 yrs. old Does this help? I am looking for information on my maternal Great Grandparents, Samuel SMITH/LOWE b: 1854 (family story is that he was born a LOWE and raised a SMITH), Rebecca Elizabeth BARKER/LEGG b: 1856 (my mother said that her maiden name is BARKER, but another family member said that her maiden name was LEGG). I am thinking that Rebecca may have married a LEGG and then married Samuel SMITH. I believe Rebecca is the daughter of Benjamin Wallace BARKER and These two moved to Harlan County, KY about 1880. Any info would be appreciated. Teresia Hamilton, VA

Thank you Linda Anderson-Quinonez [email protected] wrote: Sheryl is correct about my late cousin, Curtis Lawson, cleaning the Robinette Cemetery. I personally hired him to do so because my Great-grandmother Eliza B. "Lyde" Chafin Ward, her son Robert Ward, & her mother Jerusha July Edens Chafin are buried there. Curt took great pride in keeping that cemetery clean for me. What is very sad is that the relatives of others buried in the cemetery took absolutely no interest in cleaning that cemetery or contributing to paying for the cleaning of that cemetery during the past 10 - 20 years. My grandmother, Pearl Ward Castle, cleaned the cemetery up until she died in 1969. It would be wonderful if some of you who have relatives in this cemetery would contribute to having a decent path built down to the now-unpassable county road that runs from the state road by this cemetery and to paying to have the cemetery cleaned at least twice a year. From California I simply cannot do it all by myself any longer. Others must contribute. It would also be beneficially to have some sort of fencing placed around the cemetery to keep the off-road vehicles from further damaging the gravestones.
