Hei Jennie, I'm the genealogist for the Valdres Samband Lag. The Thon farm (many diffferent spellings) is in N. Aurdal and also in Etnedal in Valdres - plus many other places in Norway. The name Ole was the most common in the Scandinavian countries. Do you have a birthdate for your Ole? Is there any other name he went by, example: "Ole Jonson Thon" Did he marry in Norway and bring a wife and children along to America?
