Hi, Wondering if anyone knows about the ancestors of Elling Arnesen b. 1821 in Viker, Buskerud, married to Sigri Ellensdatter(Erlandsdr?). They lived in Hedal, Sor-Aurdal from about 1840. Sigri's parents possibly Ellen/Erland Anderson and Ingri Iversdatter. Appreciate any info; anyone with bygdebok of Sor-Aurdal/Hedal for that time period. Thanks, Dave

Hei David, I'm the genealogist for the Valdres Samband Lag. I find a Elling Arneson from Ådalen and Siri Ellendsdatter Ospholt, born 1820, married 1845, who lived on place called Bråtån from 1847 and went to America in 1869. We only have records for Valdres, so I can't do anything about Elling Arneson. But Siri Arnesdatter Ospholt's line can be traced back in time. Children were: Mari b. 1845 Ingri b. 1847 Anne b. 1852 - to America with parents Kjersti b. 1850 " " Else b. 1854 " " Anders b, 1857 " " Sigri b. 1860, d. 1863 Sigri b. 1864 " " If you wish to join the Valdres Samband Lag, my help is free; only charge would be for a chart I make out (just what I pay for them), photocopying for our files for future reference and postage.
