I have run into some confusion in the Valdres bygdebok that I'm hoping someone can help me straighten out. On page 182 (søre Skinnrud), I find Amund Olson b 1729 marrying Dorte Knutsdotter Kilingbakke, "sjå Øydgarden". So I looked for Dorte in Øydgarden and found one on page 146, b 1733 - only marrying Amund Olson nørdre Roo, b 1716. This is the only Dorte Knutsdotter I could find marrying an Amund. I looked for them in the Marriages in Aurdal and couldn't find any of them, so I'm stuck. I don't know if I've got the right couple and there was just an error in birthdates, or if this is two different couples completely, or if I've just been staring at this book for so long I'm just not seeing the ones I need. Is there anyone with access to other records (church books or other) that could help me clarify this? Thanks so much. :) Star O
