I have just today received the original book listing burials in the Bear Creek Lutheran cemetery located just north of Grand Meadow, MN. I have been allowed to borrow it for a short time to do the transcription of the cemetery. If this cemetery book is the same one I saw, it has A.E. Orwick listed. It was actually his wife "Caroline". Her birthdate is on the grave and he was in Polk Co. in Numedal Twp in the 1885 and 1900 census. That area is currently in Pennington Co. His wife was my g-grandaunt. She was last seen in the 1875 State Census for Pleasant Valley Twp, Mower Co, MN (with Andrew E. Orwick) named Caroline Orwick. I know the stone is very hard to read but it must say "hustru of A.E.Orwick....". He married a widow named Ingebord Johnson, who moved to Numedal with him. I have "Caroline's" birth record from the Norwegian Parish Register and that is the date on the stone. I have another g-grandaunt buried there also; her name was Elise Olson Dalen, wife of Allen G. Dalen. I was wondering if there is a burial record there for Ann Olson, wife of William Bertil Olson. She was born on 26 April 1837 in Norway and died 26 Mar 1776 in Racine Twp, Mower Co, MN. Somehow I forgot to look for her in Bearcreek Cemetery when I was there two summers ago. Thank you for any help you may give.
